At the heart of Westshore Marina District is the town center, designed to activate the waterfront and energize the neighborhood. Britney built this beautiful destination from the ground up. She was handed this "slice of heaven" as land filled will weeds and turned it into a community revolving around convenience and outdoor living. She started by first drawing out a preliminary design and prospective list of tenants and then interviewing multiple architects and contractors until she found the best ones to bring her dream to life. She was involved in every aspect of the process including design and construction and crafted many relationships with city officials to help get the plans permitted and approved. She even went before city counsel to get the site wet-zoned for alcohol sales that resulted in a unanimous vote of approval.
Britney's goal for this project was always to bring the heart and soul to the overall master-planned community. She wanted the residents to have a place to visit on a daily basis for all their needs and wants.
On top of overseeing all of the development, she also handled the retail and restaurant leasing herself. She is proud to say district residents can enjoy a coffee, relax at happy hour, dine by the bay, sip on cool smoothies, or appreciate the personalized service and great offerings of an urban grocer. Westshore Marina District is a stunning new master-planned community overlooking one of the largest and most impressive yacht basins on Tampa Bay. Situated along 1.5 scenic miles of waterfront, green space, marina and open bay, this all-new, 52-acre destination presents a fresh, contemporary environment for water-inspired living, shopping, dining and recreation.
Britney was Vice President of BTI Partners, the master-developer for the Westshore Marina District. In this role, she oversaw many aspects of this flagship development for Tampa Bay. She started on the site before a road was construction and well before any of the new 1,350 residential units had been planned.
As part of the development team, she worked diligently with city officials to zone the property for alcohol sales and consumption along the miles of waterfront trails, retail and restaurant spaces. This allowed the town center tenants to be able to serve the District and surrounding communities and turned the area into one of the hottest places to be in Tampa Bay.
Britney also was an integral part of the team for the brand new 159-slip deep water marina and 125 luxury condominiums of Marina Pointe.

Before Brit earned her General Contractor's License, she found her love of construction by acting as an Owner/Contractor to build this incredible 384 SF Tiny House. Brit owned this vacant lot for years and decided she wanted to create an income producing oasis in the heart of South Tampa.
Brit bought the shell building and had it transported to her lot, where she then went to the City of Tampa to fully permit and approve the structure for use as an Airbnb. It was not an easy task, the city had not seen many "tiny homes" and were unsure how to move forward. However, Brit worked diligently with the city to proove that this structure was safe and met all building codes.
After construction, the building paid for itself in less than a year and is a 5-star sought after short term rental. The tiny home may be small but it is surprisingly spacious and comes complete with a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and two sleeping lofts with queen size beds.
